hat: urban outfitters / coat: vintage / top: thrifted / jeans: madewell / shoes: jeffrey campbell There's something respectable about hats. Fashionable old women can rock cloches and pillbox hats like nobody's business, and you've got to love Bill Murray wearing a fedora (not to be confused with a much dreaded trilby) on the Golden Globes red carpet. It takes a certain amount of panache, I think, to wake up and step out into the world wearing a hat. Not just any hat, though: a structured hat. Not a beanie or beret even or snapback of any sort. A real, honest to goodness hat.
I fear we have lost sight of the vital importance of hats, and I think we should make an effort to bring them back to their former glory. Consider the hat.
